The first page in a stock house plan set from Dallas Design Group is the Cover Page. The cover page has the sheet number index for the plan, the house plan name, an elevation or rendering, and our company's contact information. On stock house plans, if we do not have a rendering then a CAD front elevation is provided. On New Designs, Dallas Design Group can provide an artist rendition (color rendering) for an additional charge. These artist renderings range from $400 to $1000 depending upon the complexity of the design and the artist time involved. On our stock house plans, if a rendering is provided on the cover page, it will be printed in black and white. A Color Rendering can be provided and printed with the plan for a separate fee. Please let us know if you would like a quote for a color rendering included with your house plan.

The next page in a stock house plan set is the Foundation Plan. This sheet provides an example of a slab-designed foundation. All stock plans come with a slab foundation; basements and pier-&-beam require a modification quote. On new designs, a foundation plan is not provided, unless requested and will require an additional "add-on" fee. It is not needed in most cases. Some foundation plans must be provided by a licensed engineer of the state the home is to be constructed in. Please call us with any questions you may have regarding foundation plan requirements.

This is the Roof Plan. This sheet roof plan is an integral piece of a well-designed set of elevations. Roof cuts are shown to demonstrate how the architectural design is intended to make the elevation aesthetically pleasing to the eye. From our roof plan, your builder has everything required to build a precise and beautifully designed roof. Our roof plans are drawn to ¼ scale.

Our roof plans are accurate, work properly and include numerous geometric cuts and angles of the elevations.

Many typical house plan packages have four to six elevations on the roof plan. We feel that is not enough, so we may show as many as eight to ten - simply to verify the roof can be built the way it was designed. We pride ourselves on the accuracy and detail of our roof plans.

Sections Page

This is the Sections Page. Sections are used to further describe any architectural intent (beyond what is provided in the floor plan's notation sections). Not all of our house plans include sections because they may not have been required with the original design.

Please feel free to contact us any time with questions regarding sections or any aspect of our floor plans. We offer plan modifications as well as new architectural design.

Every home plan we sell comes with three standard typical detail sheets on construction. These sheets are used to cover a broad range of many everyday situations that may occur on a construction site. The detail sheets are current and accurate to the area and time of which the house was originally designed.
